Infinity Foods are the largest importer of Quinoa within the UK. Our Main source of Quinoa is grown in the foothills of Mount Chimborazo, Ecuador's highest peak.
Our Equadorian Quiona is purchased direct from the farmers through the CORBICH co-op, a co-operative of small scale farmers. The Majority of CORBICH memebers are indigenous women whoose husbands have migrated to the Cities in search of work.
All our Quinoa is Fairtrade and from the export revenues secured by the Fairtrade premium guaranteed to the farmers household incomes have doubled. This extra income allows the farmers to not only invest in new farming machinery and seeds but also to invest in their community.
Quinoa is a small protien rich grain, and contains a good source of dietary fibre and phosphour. It has a high content of magnesium and iron as well as being gluten-free. .
